Why am I voting for Ron Paul?
Because he is not a politician. Ron Paul is a statesman. He is a scholar in classical liberalism.
To further explain my point, do you think of Aristotle or Thomas Acquinas or Thomas Jefferson or Fredrick Bastiat as politicians? Sure they were involved in transforming society but because of principle, not because of ego-driven motives.
Also Ron Paul is faithful to his oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. So rare is this quality that he may be the sole archetype for this distinction. And therefore when he stands before all of us and declares that he is the champion of the Constitution there is no hypocrisy.
These combinations of qualities plus his personal life of service and decency speak volumes about the ethics behind the man, which are the ethics inherent in classical liberalism.
