Happy Birthday Greetings To The Mises Institute!

I always considered myself as part of the second crop which probably makes sense since I was not a Mises Fellow, just a fellow student in Austrian economics at Auburn at the same time as Mark Thornton.

When the Mises Institute was still in diapers in a tiny building in the parking lot of the football stadium I was likewise just barely learning to walk (process thoughts like a classical liberal).

Now the Mises Institute is fully mature and its powers of intellect are fully developed. It will have to take on the frivilous and reckless ego-driven interventionists but through perserverence and fortitude ("Do not give in to evil, but proceed ever more boldly against it.") knowledge will flow and the market process will bloom.

I loved the little insight provided today by Lew Rockwell about the early unsurpassed band of collaborators: Margit von Mises, Murray N. Rothbard, Ron Paul, F.A. Hayek, and Hans F. Sennholz.

Although 27, the candles of liberty and peace that have been lit around the world are now a conflagration that no wind can blow out! I sure hope you receive many birthday gifts!

The "American Revolution" Then And Now!

"The British are coming, the British are coming," went out the cry. And they were right. Following along like puppies on the leash were all of the world monetary hegemony bullies and their sycophants. Fiat currency gamesmanship and political conniving to see which group of imperialists wins the day is like the marching of the redcoats.

It is time again for the 'American Revolution' in the name of liberty. As you can see the outworn labels of the country of birth have nothing to do with the spirit needed to break the shackles of deceit and oppression.

Is "Mob Rule" A Result of Fascism?

Where are the battlelines?

Of course people can vote their conscience by choosing to boycott or choosing not to boycott. But in a fascist environment the propaganda of the government pressures people to act in a certain way.

Can a representative of a company that provides valuable goods and services speak freely without fascist retaliation?

'Mob rule' is really the blind imitation by the masses to the propaganda put out by the fascists.

Recognizing The Mises Institute As A Foundation For Classical Liberalism.

There is no doubt that the Mises Institute is centered and focused and is providing a foundation for the future of classical liberalism.

However, there is a doubt that there is a perpetual thread of classical liberalism that can be attributed to Peter Boettke or to George Mason University for that matter.

If for no other reason, the proper relationship would be one of humble appreciation of the Mises Institute and all that it stands for by Peter Boettke.

Is that possible? Isn't hermeneutics a manifestation of ego-driven interpretation?
