Balance and harmony and reciprocity are all part of the natural order. Subsidiarity is the reciprocal of federation and both are necessary for the advancement of civilization.
Federation is beneficial but when it is allowed to go beyond the bounds of moderation it is nothing but centralization which is obviously a movement towards tyranny.The rising cries for secession from the tyranny of centralization are really just the equilibrium forces at work, the appearance of moderating forces to move the order of things towards balance and harmony.
These are the early stages necessary for freedom of thought and the subsequent evolution and maturation of ethics. One of the great outcomes of ethical development will be the recognition that the ideology of statism is harmful to human civilization.
When this arbitrary and ego-driven approach is finally relegated to the dustheap of fallacious doctrines it will be seen what wonders are possible for an unshackled humanity. The philosophy of classical liberalism provides the theoretical proof that there is not a void left behind when the State is dissolved but rather it is like a bird released from its cage.

Laissez-Faire Instead Of Ego-Driven Mixed Economies.
All versions of a 'mixed' economy are failures. Those who criticize capitalism are really criticizing cronyism and fascism (and these are unquestionably failures), not the free market.
Those who claim that the free market has been tried and cannot work 1). don't know theory and 2). have no empirical evidence and 3). ignore the fact that all of the alternatives and every type of interventionism have failed miserably.
The state-of-the art theory of laissez-faire is the divine economy theory. To everyone who doubts whether an unhampered free market can rescue humanity from oppression and injustice and bring about peace and prosperity it is incumbent upon them to do their homework and read about the divine economy theory.

Economic Intervention Morphs Government Into The State.
Governments
voluntarily chosen, in diverse sizes of societies, are perfectly natural. What has been
the source of the corruption of government is economic intervention by limited
human minds upon an infinitely dynamic market process. The morphing of
government into the State is certainly associated with economic intervention.
The tradition of classical liberalism, with the laissez-faire of the Continental economists and the unhampered market economy of the Austrian economists, provides an ample moral and scientific foundation for justifying the establishment of order without the corruption of societies that is associated with the State.
Obviously what stands in the way in these - the Dark Ages of economics - is the general nescience of true economic science and so the task ahead is to educate people as part of the process of advancing civilization. There is no better or more comprehensive tool to accomplish this than the promulgation of the divine economy theory. Consequently this is the generation that needs to acquaint themselves with the divine economy theory so that the ills associated with statism will be effaced sooner rather than later, and peacefully.

Voluntary Government Not The Coercive State.
We probably are all in agreement that if we put our
faculties to use in searching for a way of governing that could be done on a
purely voluntary basis, and that had none of the evils inherent in the State,
and we were able to successfully find such a system then we would want to make
others aware of it. Who among us is fully convinced that every rock has
been overturned (that the search using
our full faculties has been done already)?
We are living in a remarkable period of human history with new and exciting things being discovered all of the time. Imagine how your life is different from what it was 10 years ago because things that apparently existed all along were not yet discovered, or at least, were certainly not known by the masses. I am certain that voluntary government can and will exist; and that the coercive State will disappear from human civilization!

Hermeneutics Is An Attack On Subjectivism.
Empiricism is hermeneutics and hermeneutics is empiricism! I will explain.
The empiricist needs data in some form to serve as the basis for proof of the specific hypothesis. In the natural sciences the data collected paints a clear picture and if it is done properly it can be repeated over and over again. This provides both a proof of and a test for the hypothesis. In the human sciences this is not what happens. The datum collected is nothing more than a random historical event captured at a specific point in time. It may or may not ever be repeated again plus the circumstances can never again be the same. Humans are constantly changing!
Well then, what can an empiricist do with the data collected that was supposedly designed to capture information about a human? Since it cannot possibly represent the human reality - which is subjective - the only other option is to interpret! It is clear then that empiricism in the human sciences is hermeneutics.
Now for the other part of the statement "Empiricism is hermeneutics and hermeneutics is empiricism!" and the accompanying explanation. In the human sciences, such as praxeology and more specifically economics, the only truly scientific methodology is subjectivism. There is no middle ground. Someone cannot come along and say that subjectivism is the proper methodology without then fully recognizing that humans make subjective decisions using their reasoning powers. If someone claims that people are irrational (some humans do have mental illnesses which may cause irrationality at least for short periods of time) then this is an attack on subjectivism.
Subjectivism fully recognizes that natural law can be used to describe the characteristics that are unique to human beings, universally. There is a logical structure that all humans operate within. For example, humans are constrained by their limited knowledge of the future. Another example - one which is foundational - is that humans use reason. For someone to say that people make irrational decisions is a clear attack on subjectivism.
Why would someone want to undermine the methodology of subjectivism? It is obvious why an empiricist would have such a goal. Subjectivism exposes the fallacies of using empiricism in the human sciences (age-old institutions are then in jeopardy). But why would an individual want to undermine the methodology of subjectivism?
If someone claims that people make irrational decisions then it creates a niche for someone to fill as the ultimate judge of what is rational and what is not. Someone may be ego-driven enough to want that privilege but just imagine the horrors. This hermeneutist takes away the right of subjectiveness for anyone who does not please this judge! How ironic it would be if such a person would claim to be a friend of liberty and justice! Ultimately this hermeneutist will make the empirical decision: "Are you rational (+) or are you irrational (-)?" and it is this binary code that fits empiricism but in no way, shape or form does it fit subjectivism.

Can Economic Equilibrium Appear Either As Latent Or Active?
There are times when economic equilibrium is invisible. Those who do not know about economic equilibrium may therefore be oblivious of its existence. Those who know it exists probably are just rest assured that it is always there, always operating.
There are many reasons why economic equilibrium may appear latent but I think there are two main reasons. When the economy is not far from its balanced path the counterbalancing force of equilibrium is not very great and so the pressures exerted on the economy are minor. To those alive during that time the force of economic equilibrium may appear latent.
Another time when it may appear latent is when the State intervention is very great and its control over information (propaganda) paints a false picture. Those unaware of economic equilibrium are easily fooled and those aware of economic equilibrium may not realize how extremely far from the balanced path the economy is and so they may misjudge the consequences to come. Those who are aware of economic equilibrium have a duty to cut through the propaganda and educate others about the consequences of interventionism.
Another point of interest with regards economic equilibrium is the significance of the change of appearance of economic equilibrium from latent to active. As I mentioned, at times it appears latent because of a relatively balanced economy and that is when the concept of laissez-faire fits well as a descriptive term. But laissez-faire is not a strong enough term to override the State, either as an argument or as an opposition force. Consequently once we entered the era of nation-building the State was able to embark on potent measures that disrupted economic equilibrium. Of course the State then uses its propaganda to hide these disruptions.
Here is where the appearance of active economic equilibrium not only becomes crucial but its reality will make its presence known. Think of a pendulum. It can be pushed so far but at some point the forces are so great that it cannot be prevented from returning to its entropy point. The reason the economic equilibrium is active is because there is no moral authority for any of the economic interventionism and the power of human action, in response, purges the corruption.
Those who are aware of the appearance of active economic equilibrium forces have a duty to educate others about the inevitable consequences of interventionism and about the complete lack of moral authority for any economic intervention. This is what a true and powerful laissez-faire concept like the divine economy theory has to offer.

Ever-Advancing Civilization Is Part Of Natural Law.
As Mises said "Conditions were much better in the past, when the peoples of Western civilization were unanimous in endorsing the values of Christian ethics." (Theory and History, Chapter Three)
There is nothing about the divine economy theory that differs from voluntaryism. If a person who is out on the ocean wants to fish - fine. If a person out on the ocean wants to live in the cabin below and watch cowboys riding horses around in arid country - fine. Neither or none of the choices made or the actions taken change the reality that the ocean is vast and in a sense unfathomable.
Regardless of what a person does it is part of the cause and effect that is part of the dynamic of the economy and the economy is a divine reality similar to the unfathomability of the ocean.
When the universal ethics of this epoch (or era or dispensation) is generally assimilated then the characteristics of a divine civilization noticed by Mises will be evident and will continually evolve as part of the ever-advancing civilization.
No where is there any need for interventionism which has no moral authority and is a corruption of the divine economy processes.

Secession Is Part Of The Tradition Of Classical Liberalism.
The best way to secede is to do it as part of the ideological change that is stirring. When it becomes acceptable it will simply be natural and peaceful. It will be acceptable when it is understood that there is no moral authority for any economic intervention, that all intervention is a corruption of a divine institution - the economy - and that these artificial and manmade boundaries are silly and obsolete since all humanity belongs to the same human family and that humans make choices subjectively. Permiting subjective decision-making removes all coercion and allows people to exercise social cooperation naturally - which also happens to be the most efficient and the most peaceful way, and the way that leads to prosperity for all.

Classical Liberalism Does Not Need A U.S. Presidency!
I put my trust in God, which means that I still believe it is possible that Ron Paul will emerge victorious - even if it means that all of the lies and corruption and economic terrorism has to come out into the light of the day between now and August because of an inevitable worldwide tragedy.
If not, then I still have no interest in any of the loathesome politicians and will see what new educative avenue Ron Paul pursues.
A President of a corrupt government and bankrupt nation can never surpass a truthful, humble and principled leader of righteous people. If Ron Paul is not elected President then America has simply lost a great opportunity.

C.S. Lewis Gave The Analogy Of A Good Egg!
At the 28 minute mark Ron Paul shares the analogy of C.S. Lewis that a good egg cannot remain a good egg forever. This was his commentary about society. The good egg has to either hatch or it will rot. Those are the two end results from what was a good egg to begin with.
This analogy applies to America. If we allow (by our work to preserve liberty) the vision of our Founders to hatch, the spirit of America will be alive, but if we do not protect the shell - our Constitutional Republic - and neglect it then the eggs will become rotten. We are seeing many rotten signs. We need to nurture the good eggs towards hatching and discard the rotten ones.

Women & Men Equally Qualified To Study Divine Economy Theory.
It is an indisputable fact that women have been deprived of equal education
throughout history and that is the only reason for the differences between the
accomplishments of men and women. In a way that education gap is still a burden
for women because the starting point for women generally lags behind, requiring
exceptional determination and perserverence and courage to achieve equality and
the associated respect.
But the divine economy theory is new upon the scientific and moral horizon. There is therefore no headstart or advantage for either man or woman.
This is extremely exciting news both in terms of justice and for the possibility of a social experiment. Will women excel and even prove to have a degree of superiority in the concepts and principles that constitute the divine economy theory? How Long Does Ideological Change Take?
The big question is: how long does ideological change take? The genius of Ron Paul is his recognition that freedom brings people together and so what before was disjointed, disconnected, and separated can now – through the tolerance and forebearance of the belief in liberty – become as one; side by side and hand in hand the atheists and the Jews and the Muslims and the Catholics and the Protestants and the skeptics and the Mormons and the Adventists and and the agnostics and the Hindus and the Buddhists and the Baha’is and the New Agers all see that liberty is what sustains their subjective choices and justice protects those choices. The ideological change that is building – and with Godspeed may reach critical mass soon enough for an orderly transition – is the wild card!
One thing that I discovered in my research is that the inherent classical liberalism basis of human civilization is always present and so there is no need to fear a void when the State is destroyed!

Classical Liberalism Is Not Hermeneutical Libertatianism.
The classically liberal misnomer: Classical liberalism has been deliberately undermined ever since the State came into existence, undermined by obvious enemies and surreptitious enemies.
Always though, the divine forces inherent in equilibrium have been significant, more or less obvious depending on the exact moment in time historically. There is little disagreement among wise observers that we are in a special time historically. For the so-called "classically liberal" to view things so narrowly as to see Iowa as a watershed to verify hermeneutical libertarianism is short-sighted to say the least.
But it probably is not simply short-sighted, it probably has more to do with the surreptitious attack on classical liberalism by the phony namesakes, the hermeneutical libertarians.
How fast are things changing in the world? What could happen tomorrow to drastically change perception? Only those who truly appreciate and understand the forces of equilibrium can perceive the long run and know that the spin doctors (no matter whether they pretend and claim to be classical liberals or not) are in some way just trying to serve themselves, oblivious of what is beyond their myopic vision.

Atheism Is Outside Of And Not Part Of Classical Liberalism.
The Golden Rule is part of classical liberalism because of natural rights but also because classical liberalism has as its roots the combination of Aristotlean logic and the meditative application of the revelations originating in the Judeo-Christian faiths (which influenced that part of the world). Hermeneutical Libertarians Resemble Neocons.
Steve Horwitz instantly shows his colors when he connects classical liberalism to J. S. Mill in the third paragraph. He is either a poor historian or he is deliberately trying to derail classical liberalism by attempting to take it down another track that allows for empirical hermeneutics. The truth is that Horwitz may call himself a libertarian and he may even be a libertarian but it is an outright lie that he is a classical liberal. His 'classical liberalism' lineage stems from J.S. Mill which makes him a 'liberal' with the likes of Keynes (whose fallacious economics stems from Mill).
Is Horwitz a Keynesian? No. Is Horwitz a classical liberal? No. Is Horwitz a hermeneutic libertarian? Yes. Would hermeneutic libertarians try to distort the message of true classical liberalism? Yes. Does true classical liberalism represent a 'danger' to the ego-driven interpretations of the hermeneutic libertarians? Yes. Is it now clear why Horwitz is acting like a neocon?

Classical Liberalism And Liberalism.
Classical liberalism has as its origin the logic of Aristotle which then blended with Christianity - during the summertime intensity of that Revelation - in the works of St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, the Spanish Scholastics and has carried to the present in the works of Fredrick Bastiat, Carl Menger, Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard and contemporaries like Hans Hermann-Hoppe, etc. Classical liberalism is what blended with Christianity to form the fruit of the divine civilization brought by Christ in what is referred to as Western Civilization. The formation of the State is what began to destroy (or attempt to destroy) classical liberalism. At some point in a deliberate effort to pervert classical liberalism a new designation was assigned to the separation of economic liberties and civil liberites, and that is when the definition of liberalism was severed from its philosophical roots of classical liberalism.

Classical Liberalism Is The Solution To The European Crisis!
Afterall, it was within the womb of the European culture that classical liberalism found the conditions necessary for its flourishing! And it was out of the womb of the European culture - often referred to as Western Civilization - that its most celebrated offspring (America!) received its inspiration when the Founders of the U.S. Constitution turned to the philosophy of classical liberalism for guidance.
So how can this suggested solution to the European crisis be seen as radical? It is radical, like the root of a plant is its radical! It is what nourishes the life forces necessary for growth! Europe needs to return to its root. Europe needs to be restored to its classical liberalism just like America needs to restore itself to its root - a Constitutional Republic.
What is the best means to attain this highly desirable ends? Nullification!
The solution to the totalitarianism of the State at all levels is nullification. The parasitic political class needs to be eliminated essentially because humans are fully capable of peaceful social cooperation. This process of the return to the natural wholesomeness of civilized human society, that expresses itself beautifully and succcessfully as part of cultural diversity, requires a strong medicine because the disease of Statism is so advanced. The medicine required is nullification!!!!!

I just got back from the Youth For Ron Paul rally in Iowa City, Iowa where Ron Paul spoke eloquently as the great educator of our time. The Media Disses Ron Paul And He Responds!!!
It is very obvious that main stream media is controlled by the unConstitutional coup, making a mockery out of 'free press' and demonstrating that the difference between the U.S.S.R. and the U.S.S.A. are becoming negligible.

Austrian Economists Are Very Happy In Iowa!!!
Tomorrow - August 13, 2011 - there will be a very large party hosted by one of the greatest Austrian economists of this generation and it will be open to everyone. There will be food and fun and music and meaningful conversation and momentous opportunities to take active steps towards bringing about an ideological change in society!!!

How Can We Thank Lew Rockwell For All He Has Done?
It was a recent and great interview by Tom Woods that brought to the surface some of the tremendous events in Lew Rockwell's life. The term serfdom seems archaic since most people associate it with peasants of ancient times but the word is appropriate to modern times because that is the ultimate condition of the majority of the people under socialism.
Socialism is another word that is misunderstood because it is not just the appearance of communism. Socialism is a spectrum starting in the beginning as a single act of interventionism and continuing down the road to serfdom to more intense degrees of interventionism, to full blown socialism, and to communism and total totalitarianism.
Every act of interventionism causes the need for more interventionism, cascading towards socialism and serfdom. Every act of interventionism carries society down the road to serfdom. Along the way the people lose their entrepreneurial spirit and shamefully become willing serfs.
How many of your friends and family and acquaintances are willing serfs? Please do what you can to empower them to be repulsed by interventionism. We need to fight for our liberty before the road to serfdom turns into the road to hell!

Like attracts like. The State at its origin is a corruption of the spirit of the age - when mankind reached the developmental stage of nationhood in the evolution of civilization. Its underlying and distorted motivation was the lust for power by those who were ego-driven.

Underneath It All Is A Potent Human Civilization - Just Waiting!

What I mean is that once interventionism is removed there is not a void nor chaos but rather a fully endowed, although stunted, foundation and structure of classical liberalism. In other words, there is no reason to fear the exorcism of interventionism. What is there is not void or chaos but rather order, justice, and an unshackled potential of human civilization.

The Minarchism vs. Anarchism Fantasy.
It seems to me that this question about which is better, minarchism or anarchism, has value in philosophical discussions which may have some relevance to the real world but as long as the decision about how to organize the pocket of civilization (one of many societies making up the whole of civilization) is voluntary whose business is it besides those who have the right and responsibility to make that choice? If minarchism is voluntarily chosen for a certain pocket of civilization the anarchists need to stay within the bounds of decency and humbly accept that choice. Of course individuals who want to discuss the merits and demerits can still do so as long as they aren't deliberately trying to undermine the choice that has been made, otherwise the anarchist is a hypocrite. The same holds true for the minarchists; respecting the choice made by anarchists for their pocket of civilization.

A classical liberalism revolution is on its way. The pockets, where intelligent individuals who have searched for answers beyond the propaganda of the State live and act and educate others, these are the 'brush fires' referred to by Ron Paul - the herald of the dawning age of liberty and justice. Immigration Benefits Classical Liberalism Societies.
Limited immigration will be one of the mangement tools in classical liberalism societies, differentiating themselves from others. Freedom to enter and exit will be evidence of a society that is moderately governed by the principles of liberty and justice. Those societies that are prosperous will attract people and therefore will require taking steps to insure that productive people immigrate while those societies that are not prosperous due to ego-driven interventionism will have to restrict emigration of productive people by imposing oppressive measures, thereby advertising their backwardness.

What Is The Southern Sudan Lesson?
If democracy has any merit then secession would be 'hot and heavy' throughout the world for a generation until all the regions of the world have new jurisdictional boundaries. Part of this process would be a pact and agreement among the new nation-states that any acts of aggression by one nation-state against another would be met by a united defense by the other nation-states against such aggression.

The Bizarre Food Czar Concept!
Without limited government or another viable alternate - that of no government - encroachment is constant and pervasive. The effects are very deep; meaning the individual psyche is affected and then voila! - "the concept of self-ownership, and hence self-accountability, is almost extinct among the majority of the masses."
The fresh food movement associated with the food network and those types of shows and the variety of magazines along those lines and online sites of that nature is a promising development to counter the 'mess hall' mentality of socialism.

The Cry Of "Justice" By The Ego-Driven Is A Farce!
Finite minds, how can you comprehend the infinite bits and pieces of information that are part of the economy? Sure a finite mind can try to reduce it to a type of product (blueberries) but what about all of the effects and the relative prices that create sponaneity throughout?
One individual makes the claim: "We must!" Does that change the condition of a finite mind? Deluded, that individual speaks as an ego-driven interpreter and if given any 'authority' that individual acts like an ego-driven interventionist.
Finite minds cannot ever exercise moral authority so their claim to be concerned about justice is a farce.

The quickest way is to decree that gold and silver are the money and that all banks are required by law to practice a system of 100% reserves.
No leader has the power sufficient to make this decree because the political systems are riddled with corruption and subject to the whims of the elite who are vested with special interest in the injustices inherent in these already existing systems.
The size of the nation doesn’t matter and so no matter what the nation’s size the economic, ethical, and justice implications would reverberate all around the world. As a consequence it is not exactly true that a nation’s size does not matter because if the nation is not large enough to defend itself against the wrath of the economic terrorists benefitting from the worldwide monetary hegemony (including those trying to prop up the Euro) then the brave and economically-educated leader (and nation) would be ousted by the same type of coup that is in charge of the affairs of most of the nations in the world.

And so it appears, after further consideration, that the quickest way to prosperity is for the irresistible economic equilibrium to swing back like a pendulum from its distorted position and wipe out the entire fraudulent system that is being feasted upon by the parasitic ego-driven interventionists. Then, hopefully, those who are educated in the principles of classical liberalism will be able to influence the re-construction of a contractually-based society.

Nine Questions Americans Need To Be Asking, According To Ron Paul.
Congressman Ron Paul heroically goes before the Congress time and time again. This time, on 9 December 2010, he methodically exposed the falsity of all of the commotion about WikiLeaks and about the calls for the assassination of its founder.
The word treason is being floated around, but when Congress and the President ignore the Constitution this concern about treason is nothing but sheer hypocrisy. Stop the lying and killing and stealing and the trampling on the rights granted in the Constitution and then maybe there could be an honest discussion about treason.
Until then exposing the evil deeds and the evil-doers is a good thing, not a bad thing.
Here are the nine questions to consider:
1. Do the American people deserve to know the truth regarding the ongoing war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen?
2. Could a larger question be: how can an Army Private gain access to so much secret material?
3. Why is the hostility mostly directed at Assange, the publisher, and not our government’s failure to protect classified information?
4. Are we getting our money’s worth from the $80 billion per year we spend on our intelligence agencies?
5. Which has resulted in the greatest number of deaths; lying us into war, or WikiLeaks’ revelations or the release of the Pentagon Papers?
6. If Assange can be convicted of a crime for publishing information, that he did not steal, what does this say about the future of the First Amendment and the independence of the internet?
7. Could it be that the real reason for the near universal attacks on WikiLeaks is more about secretly maintaining a seriously flawed foreign policy of empire than it is about national security?
8. Is there not a huge difference between releasing secret information to help the enemy in the time of a declared war – which is treason – and the releasing of information to expose our government lies that promote secret wars, death, and corruption?
9. Was it not once considered patriotic to stand up to our government when it’s wrong?
Thomas Jefferson had it right when he advised: “Let the eyes of vigilance never be closed.”

Two Stooges Without Any Intellectual Grounds Try Slander.
It is quite obvious that the unConstitutional coup has its grip around the throat of the media since stooges are run out solely to do their bidding. Of course the stooges cannot intellectually address the issue.
Ron Paul is quoted as saying: "In a society where truth becomes treason, we are in big trouble." And then to address this the CNN stooges respond by name-calling, inserting their own silly fantasies of comic strip humor, and even by trying to arouse pseudo-patriotism for Texas!
To these 'bimbos' and to their overlords I suggest that they take the next step and hear what Congressman Ron Paul says about the Federal Reserve. He says that if only we had WikiLeaks about all of the lies and schemes of the Federal Reserve it would even dwarf the lies and schemes revealed by the latest WikiLeak!
Truth is not treason. Treason is the usurpation of our Constitutional Republic by the unConstitutional coup.
